This image contains the Web edition of SQL Server 2017 on Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS. This provides a low-cost database solution for medium-size web applications. For a comprehensive list of the components included in Enterprise edition on Linux go to http://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/linux/sql-server-linux-editions-and-components-2017. We recommend that you use a virtual machine size of DS12 or higher.
After provisioning, please run $sudo /opt/mssql/bin/mssql-conf set-sa-password to configure SQL Server.
