Octopus Deploy is a friendly deployment automation tool. We use NuGet packages and conventions to make automated deployment easy. Octopus can automatically update configuration files, create IIS web sites and application pools, install Windows services, and a whole lot more.

This extension installs the Tentacle agent, which listens on a port for commands from your Octopus server. After installing the agent, you'll need to add a TCP endpoint to allow incoming traffic on the listen port (by default, 10933). Octopus and Tentacle use a secure, two-way SSL connection to ensure that your deployments are secure.

The Octopus Deploy Extension depends on the Windows Management Framework version 5.0. At this time, this software is only available on machines running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Please see more details here.
