1. Validation and preparation
- Review and validate the Migration Solution Document or an equivalent plan from your organization or a third-party provider.
- Confirm tool selection, such as Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA), Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), and Azure Data Box for large-scale data transfers.
- Prepare the environment, including provisioning required Azure resources like Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), if applicable.
2. Schema migration and data preparation
- Execute schema migration using tools like Azure DMS, SSMA, Oracle SQL Developer, or custom scripts.
