MDM Proof of Concept using Semarchy xDM: 10 days

Are you wondering how Master Data Management actually works and which value it can bring to your organisation? Are you reluctant to make an investment in a solution you don’t understand yet? This offer will provide you a solution for one of your master data challenges and will give you the opportunity to evaluate MDM before going forward.

For this proof of concept we will use Semarchy xDM, connected to an Azure SQL Database on your Azure environment. The main reason for selecting Semarchy as MDM software is the flexibility and the agility it provides, which matches with our believe in how an MDM solution should be implemented.

The main objective of this offer is to provide your company with a working solution, addressing a specific need, on which you can continue to build once you’re convinced about the value master data management brings to your organisation.

This offer includes:

1. Set up of a working Semarchy xDM environment on Azure, connected to an Azure Database
2. Getting an understanding of your needs and current challenges, together we’ll be taking a look at the short and long term objectives
3. Design and model an agreed use case
4. Do the configuration (model, basic quality rules, basic enrichers, UI screens, basic workflows) in Semarchy xDM.
   The follow limitations apply:
   • Max 3 entities for simple reference data (like country, classification, …)
   • Max 1 fuzzy matching entity (fuzzy matching is way to detect duplicates in a data set)
   • Max 2 “normal” entities (the ID’s of records are common in different systems)
5. Load some data from flat files or Excel files (The UI screens are part of the configuration)
6. Demo the integration capabilities (ETL and webservices)

The sequence of the activities listed above will be mixed, as we strongly believe in an Agile approach in order to demonstrate value and get feedback as early as possible.
