Upstart is an event-based replacement for the traditional init daemon – the method by which several Unix-like computer operating systems perform tasks when the computer is started. It was written by Scott James Remnant, a former employee of Canonical Ltd.

NOTE: This deployment does not enable a Remote Client connection. Please refer to Running Docker with https to configure Docker to be reachable via the network in a safe manner.

This container will run on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS. Updates and patches for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS will be available until 2019-04-17.
