This image contains the Express edition of SQL Server 2017 on Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS. This is a free (no SQL Server licensing cost) database system for lightweight applications. It includes the core database engine, limited to 1 GB memory and 10 GB storage, and Management Studio for integrated administration and development. We recommend that you use a virtual machine size of DS1 or higher.
After provisioning, please run $sudo /opt/mssql/bin/mssql-conf set-sa-password to configure SQL Server.
