About this runbook

This runbook connects to Azure and stops all the virtual machines in the specified Azure cloud service or, if no cloud service is specified, it stops all the VMs in the Azure subscription. Save money by running this runbook on a schedule to shut down your virtual machines when they are not in use.

Dependencies

An Azure Automation credential containing the credentials of an Azure Active Directory organizational user with permissions to manage your Azure subscription. To learn more about getting set up to manage Azure, see get set up for Automation.
