Windows Server, version 1809 with Containers is a Semi-Annual Channel release based on the Server Core installation option of the Datacenter edition. This Server Core image omits the GUI for a smaller OS footprint. It includes Windows Server container images installed and ready to use with Docker. A new release comes out twice a year and is supported for 18 months. Check the Lifecycle Support Page for support dates and always use the latest release if possible. This image can be used with Azure Hybrid Benefit for Windows Server.
