Zero data loss (RPO = 0) as a service with Axxana’s Phoenix on Microsoft Azure

True Zero Data Loss as a Service (ZDLaaS) Until now, true zero data loss as a service has been impossible because the bandwidth costs and latency issues for synchronous replication between an organization’s on-premises systems and the cloud provider’s distant DR site are prohibitive. Axxana’s Phoenix for Oracle on Microsoft Azure is the only solution that overcomes this barrier. It allows organizations to create a hybrid disaster recovery (DR) solution as an alternative to hosting their own standby DR site(s) or relying on less-than-ideal disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solutions that cannot guarantee zero data loss. Using Phoenix for Oracle on Microsoft Azure, organizations can alleviate the costs and complexity associated with implementing, staffing, and maintaining a standby DR site on their own. At the same time, they gain zero-data-loss protection and the fastest recovery possible. With Phoenix for Oracle on Microsoft Azure, existing production databases remain on premises, and standby databases used for disaster recovery are deployed on the Microsoft Azure cloud. Axxana’s Phoenix Black Box, which functions as a mini disaster-proof bunker / data center, resides on the organization’s premises and protects yet-to-be replicated data (i.e., lag). When a disaster strikes at the production site, the protected data is conveyed from the Black Box to the standby site in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Here, the Phoenix’s recovery technology manages the data recovery process to ensure seamless business continuity—all with zero data loss. Phoenix for Oracle on Microsoft Azure guarantees application consistency by providing the ability to synchronize all the applications and databases used in the Phoenix for Oracle environment to one consistent point in time. This assures that in case of failure at the production site, all applications and databases are recovered together (to the exact same point in time), with full consistency between all applications and databases, swift RTO, and using either an automatic or a manual recovery process. Phoenix for Oracle on Microsoft Azure guarantees zero transaction loss, the shortest recovery time, and easy recovery in the cloud—all at a fraction of the cost of traditional disaster recovery solutions. Key Benefits • Zero-data-loss protection (RPO = 0) at any distance to the cloud • Cross-application consistency • Faster recovery time • No costly communications lines • Infrastructure-agnostic (16Gb FC | 10Gb Ethernet | 40Gb IB) • Monthly, subscription-based pricing available
