Managed Detection and Response (MDR) is an advanced security service from Ctac focused on proactively detecting, analyzing and responding to security incidents in an Azure cloud environment. This managed service provides a centralized and advanced security platform that continuously monitors your systems, networks and data to identify potential threats and respond quickly to minimize the impact of incidents. By conducting a comprehensive inventory of your IT environment in advance, Ctac works with you to ensure that the entire surface of your IT organization is monitored. Ctac does this by connecting all relevant log sources. It is also possible to connect non-standard log sources, for example by using syslog and CEF logging. In the event of a high-risk security incident, a telephone call is made, after which our analysts send an extensive report. In the case of lower-risk security incidents, a comprehensive report is sent. A security alert refers to an alert in Azure Sentinel and is a notification generated upon detecting security incidents or suspicious activity in the Azure cloud environment and linked log resources. These alerts provide important information about the threat, entities involved and recommended actions. Incident response and management: In the event of a security incident, our MDR service provides a fast and effective response in accordance with the agreements made with you. Our security experts conduct comprehensive investigations to determine the nature and extent of the incident. We provide an integrated approach to security incident management, including the recommendation of remedial and preventive measures to prevent future incidents. Threat Hunting and Intelligence: Our MDR service also includes active Threat Hunting, where we proactively search for hidden threats and potential breaches. We use advanced techniques and tools to identify and advise on the presence of threats in your environment. In addition, we integrate up-to-date threat intelligence to quickly respond to new and emerging threats. Reporting and analysis: We provide detailed real-time reporting on detected alerts and incidents, reported incidents and the security status of your environment. Our reports provide insight into the effectiveness of your security measures.
