RHEL Update Services for SAP Solutions (E4S) is a SAP specific offering tailored to the needs of SAP workloads, that enables customers to stay within a specific minor release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for up to four years, rather than upgrading to latest RHEL version every six months, allowing for a more stable production environment when necessary.

This is a minimal ready-to-use Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9.0 Gold Image version locked to RHEL 9.0 minor version with Update Services for SAP Solutions (E4S). Mainly used as a common base system on top of which other appliances could be built and tested, it contains just enough packages to run within Azure, bring up an SSH Server and allow users to login.

Built using RHEL 9 'Minimal Install' group of packages and a single 30 GiB OS disk. Both root partition and the corresponding filesystem are automatically extended during boot if the selected disk size is bigger than the default one.
